Abstract

The number of AI-ML-based systems in practice is rising and as a result software engineering for this type of system becomes more and more important. There are many different practices and challenges for software engineering in general in practice, which have been reported in many different publications. For this thesis, a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted to give an overview of the software engineering challenges and practices in connection with AI-ML-based systems. A total of 55 papers were analyzed and some open challenges and thus open research topics were found. It was shown how the authors of the publications included obtained the information presented and from which domains and about which AI types it was. The biggest unsolved challenge is fairness, which is also a major open research topic in AI. All additional documents can be found in ([Bau]).
