Abstract

This review is about software development processes and platforms for Ai / ML based systems. Since more and more software is based on AI- / ML- algorithms and large amounts of data are processed by data mining and data science, it is important to use appropriate processes and platforms for this kind of software development. Based on literature research we will look for processes and platforms designed for developing such systems, such as KDD, CRISP-DM and TDSP on the process side, and Microsoft AI Platforms, Amazon SageMaker and Model Governance on the platform side. We will list and compare the processes and platforms separately. Based on these results, we will then consider which processes can be implemented with which platforms in order to help software developers to choose processes and platforms.
