| Kurzfassung | Gamify-IT is an online learning platform for students, where lecturers can create courses filled with the topics of their modules. Students can then play games focused on those contents and by that deepen their understanding of the course materials. Currently, the game worlds are static and therefore the same in every course. Because of that, playing different courses is repetitive, thus not very interesting and does not feel different. The objective of this thesis is to develop and integrate a method to automatically and randomly generate different worlds and cave sections, so-called dungeons, together with the positioning of configurable content such as minigames, NPCs, and books. We identify four different algorithms to randomly generate worlds and analyze them for the different Gamify-IT styles, e.g. a savanna. Our evaluation based on user studies with lecturers and students came to the conclusion, that the created method can be intuitively used to create worlds of different sizes and characteristics, which are fun to explore for students. Additionally, the results are visually pleasing, and the distribution of the content is appropriate for the gameplay.
