Abstract

Since the availability and technology advancement regarding Virtual Reality technologies reached sufficient maturity, utilizing them in the context of education can provide us with novel and rich experiences to acquire knowledge in unprecedented ways. This provides the foundation for the two prototypes being developed in the confines of this thesis. The first prototype will be used in the context of insurance to teach participants about related risks in living-spaces. The second prototype will provide a basis for a accessibility simulation, teaching the user about potential barriers. In addition to the implementation of the first prototype a user study has been conducted.
