Abstract | Scientific workflows are frequently used for simulations, experiments analyses or the design and execution of experiments. The operation of the workflow management system must be self-describing, intuitive, and abstracting from underlying technology because there are many non-computer scientists who want to use workflow technology.
The visualization workflows are scientific workflows for visualization. For different visualization methods, there should be different visualization workflows. Each workflow requires visualization parameters to invoke the visualization tool and execute the visualization, and then the result of the execution will be shown in the visualization tool.
The subject of this diploma thesis is in two points: conception of a result display component based on visualization workflows and integration of the result display component into a workflow modeling tool. The modeling tool of visualization workflow is Eclipse BPEL designer. Therefore, in this thesis an Eclipse plug-in for integrating the result display component is to be developed.
