Kurzfassung

Environmental monitoring has gained increasing attention over recent years. Due to the lack of high resolution sensor information, a series of simulations is used to provide the data of interest. To integrate different sources of information, each data source is enriched using simulations and entire simulation traces are exchanged between organizations. This approach leads to highly redundant storage and transmission of data which might not even be used after final analysis. To remove this redundancy we propose to distribute the simulation and thereby avoid the transmission of massive data amounts. In addition, this approach unifies the access to sensor data and simulation results. As a result, new sensor sources can easily be integrated and simulation results can efficiently be provided through a single interface.
