| Kurzfassung | In the context of joint working on documents by a team, awareness of each others actions and context as well as consistency of data are crucial aspects. We present two different alternatives to realize a distributed document environment for such purposes. One is based on a CORBA platform, the other one on mobile agents. These approaches are compared according to a number of essential criteria.
