Abstract | Automatic provisioning and management of cloud applications is a major issue of enterprise IT. Topology and Orchestration for Cloud Application (TOSCA) is an extensible standard written in XML. TOSCA specifies a language, that automates deployment and management processes while focusing on portability, interoperability and vendorneutral ecosystems. TOSCA Simple Profile in YAML is a rendering of TOSCA written in YAML, which aims to provide a more accessible syntax. This thesis proposes a meta model for TOSCA Simple Profile in YAML and compares the TOSCA elements from both specifications. Using the information from the comparison, a converter has been constructed as part of Winery, a web-based environment to graphically model TOSCA topologies.
