| Kurzfassung | TSN standards have emerged as a cornerstone for ensuring QoS requirements in real-time networks. With the growing trend in the industry to incorporate wireless devices into real-time systems, TSN networks are presented with a new set of challenges. One of these challenges is the transmission delay variability of packets transmitted over wireless connections. Current TSN mechanisms, such as TAS for time-triggered traffic, are optimized for deterministic delays and struggle to handle the dynamic nature of wireless transmission. This makes existing solutions less effective in handling the delay variability present in wireless communication. In this work we incorporate the EDF algorithm into the TSN ecosystem to assist TSN (wireless) networks with delay variability in keeping maximum delay constraints. Additionally, to a design we also present an implementation of our EDF design into the INET framework of the OMNet++ simulation environment. Simulation result show EDF to be more resilient to variable packet delays but at the cost of overall increased mean delays across all packets.
