Kurzfassung

Abstract This student thesis explores the relevant mechanisms that work behind underwater data transmission via potential fields and describes the first attempts to use this for achieving the coupling of two oscillators. It also describes a first approach to the implementation of a potential-field based control and localization of a group of autonomous underwater vehicles. An account of the different observations made and challenges faced is given.
