Abstract

This paper presents a factory data model for implementation of the Smart Factory, as a key component for the next generation context-aware manufacturing. The specificity of our approach consists of enhancing traditional factory data models with valuable information regarding location and status of all objects existing in a factory, the so-called context-aware feature. The Smart Factory Data Model is designed by taking into consideration the main factory objects as products, processes, factory structures, production orders, resources and adding them context information. This augmented data model is implemented into the Nexus Platform by employing the state-of-the-art integration and federation technologies.
