This package provides procedures to manipulate files in a file system under a given operating system. Specifically, it provides routines to manipulate closed files. These routines include: rename, copy, move, delete, and expand a name containing wild card characters to a list of filenames. Procedures are functions are: Rename Rename a file Delete Delete a file Copy Copy a file Append Append one file onto another Expand, Destroy Expand wild card to list of filenames, Destroy the list Strip_Dir Return a filename without a device/directory reference The supplied package body is specific to VAX/VMS. ABSTRACTIONS is used by NOSC/WIS tools 5.1.1, 5.1.2, 6.1.2, and 6.2. See also NEW_ABSTRACTIONS.
