ASC counts the number of lines (terminated by newlines), Ada statements (indicated by stand-alone semicolons, i.e., semicolons not in strings, quotes, or parentheses), and Ada comments (which are on lines by themselves). ASC supports include file processing, an arbitrary number of arguments on the command line, and the following options: -L Toggle line-count-only mode, where only line counts are displayed (this mode is for counting lines in text documents, as opposed to Ada code segments) -S Print subtotals of all files since the start of the program or since the last -S option; the subtotal counters are reset -T Print running totals; no counters are reset MIL-HDBK-1804 PDL is used for internal documentation. See this PDL in the source code for more documentation and usage instructions.
