Reuse Education Workshop Proceedings, OCT 93 These proceedings are from the Second Annual West Virginia Reuse Education and Training Workshop, held 25 -27 October 1993. The purpose of the first workshop in September 1992 was to identify and outline the education and training necessary for managers, system engineers, and educators in government, industry, and academia to make widespread reuse a reality. The goal of this workshop, in 1993, was to pursue these issues and continue to build and broaden the work of the first workshop. To help structure the outcome of the workshop we established six working groups addressing: o Traditional Computer Science Courses and Software Engineering Curricula, chaired by Dr. Frances VanScoy from West Virginia University o Domain Engineering, chaired by Dr. Bill Frakes from Virginia Tech and Software Engineering Guild o Management Level Training. chaired by Stan Levine from U.S. Army CECOM o Component Certification, Validation, and Qualification, chaired by Dr. Carmen Trammell and Dr. Jesse Poore from University of Tennessee o Legal Issues and Reuse, chaired by Dave Permar from DLA o Economics of Software Reuse, chaired by Dr. Tom Frazier from Institute for Defense Analysis
