This tool is an interactive reader for the Ada 83 Reference Manual. It allows the user to quickly locate any section in the manual, review it, move around within the manual, print sections, etc. It is designed specifically to be used during software development, allowing the user to simply enter a command like rm83 4.1 in response to error messages generated during a compilation. The included file qstart.txt is a quick tutorial on the tool. The file rm83_pc.zip is a ready-to-run executable for the PC. The file rm83_rdr.zip contains the source code, support files and programs, and instructions for compilation. Both zip files contain the qstart.txt file. Fast VT100 emulation is required. The tool runs fine on a PC, but the VT100 emulator called vtem or equivalent must be used on a Sun to prevent lossage of characters during the display generation.
