Rudstone Benchmark Specifications 

Rudstone is floating-point intensive benchmark derived from a
satellite ground control system.

The Rudstone benchmark was developed to rate the performance of
computer systems for a specific satellite control application.
(Rudstone modeled a portion of an existing satellite ground control
system in order to rate replacement systems.)

Rudstone processes an input file of sensor data to detect orbital
targets and lists the detections made.

Rudstone has been successfully run on:
  
	- DEC DECStation 3100, VAX VMS, using DEC Ada (SEI)
	- IBM RISC RS6550, Telesoft Ada (Aerospace Corp.)
	- IBM RISC RS6520, Telesoft Ada (Aerospace Corp.)
	- Silicon Graphics 4D/35 (Aerospace Corp.)
  
Tested unsuccessfully on:

	- Sun SPARCstation 1+, Sun OS, using the Verdix Ada
	Development System. Verdix storage error, not yet
	resolved. (SEI)

	- Sun SPARCstation 1+, Sun OS, using the GNU Ada translator.
	Pre-release version of GNUAda lacks certain Ada packages
	assumed by the program. (SEI)
