ASSET_A_163: Analysis of Existing Software Engineering Environments
Presents the results of an analysis of four key Ada software
engineering environments -- the Ada Language System / Navy (ALS/N), the
Rational R1000 Development System, the Software Development and
Maintenance Environment (SDME) and the Space Station Software Support
Environment (SSE). The study recommends that the STARS Software
Engineering Environment incorporate such capabilities as software
process management, standard interfaces, data base support, and
software engineering support, including support for Ada, multi-target
development, prototyping, and reuse.
