| Kurzfassung | This thesis discusses an architecture for a prototype for a runtime environment to execute programms based on OpenMP tasks on distributed memory systems. The runtime environment works with a limited subset of the OpenMP standard and handles the creation, execution and synchronization of tasks. It also takes care of the memory transfers between the nodes.
